Collect 70% of last year's harvest: OP spoke about plans for sowing during the war
The President's Office aims to collect 70% of last year's harvest despite the war and is launching a program to support farmers.
This was announced by Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Rostislav Shurma, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
"Our goal is to keep next year's harvest at least 70% of this year, despite the situation," he told a telethon on Saturday.
To implement such a plan, a support program was launched for farmers, in particular, concessional funding.
As for the current stocks in warehouses and elevators, there are enough of them for basic products: wheat, oil, corn. Their number will be enough for 3-5 years, as about 70% of such goods Ukraine has always exported, and now logistics are not available for export.
"We will feed ourselves," Rostislav Shurma stressed.
It will be recalled that residents of wealthy European countries are already noticing the consequences of Russia's war against Ukraine, as they chaotically buy oil and flour.
