China fell to the status of Russia's advocate - political scientist Tsybulko
Political analyst Volodymyr Tsybulko believes that China, trying to become the main negotiator in resolving the issue of Russia's war against Ukraine, has fallen to the status of Russia's advocate
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV channel.
"Theoretically, if China wanted to end the war, they could put pressure on Putin. However, China wants to pay a price for this. They are very afraid of losing their status as a member of the UN Security Council. Now Beijing has joined this race. At first, they tried to be a kind of referee in Russia's war against Ukraine. However, today China has fallen to playing the role of Russia's advocate," explained Tsybulko.
The political scientist believes that China is trying to get all of Russia's nuclear weapons.
"If China clearly understood its role in this post-war conference, they would strengthen their geopolitical status at the expense of Russia. In fact, the first attempts to strengthen their geopolitical status are already being made. China wants to become Russia's nuclear advocate. Beijing is trying to take away Russia's nuclear weapons and give the world appropriate guarantees," he added.
