Russian aggression kills 500 Ukrainian children
As of Sunday, August 13, 500 children have been killed as a result of Russian armed aggression in Ukraine. A further 1,000 minors have been injured in attacks on Ukrainian cities
This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to their data, over 1,597 children have been injured since the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. As of the morning of August 13, 2023, according to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 500 children were killed and more than 1,097 suffered injuries of varying severity.
"These figures are not final. Work is underway to establish them in the areas of hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories," the Prosecutor General's Office added.
Law enforcement officials also noted that most children were affected in the Donetsk region - 485, Kharkiv - 298, Kyiv - 129, Kherson - 118, Zaporizhzhia - 99, Mykolaiv - 97, Dnipro - 94, Chernihiv - 71 and Luhansk - 67.

As of March 2023, the war in Ukraine had resulted in the deaths of 466 children and injuries to 943 others.
