Zelenskyy: Officials who do not understand principles of heroes' policy should be replaced
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukrainian officials who do not understand the meaning of the introduction of the policy of heroes should be replaced, and time-consuming regulations should be simplified
He said this during veterans' forum.
The main principles of the heroes' policy include honouring the feat of Ukrainians, new educational opportunities for veterans, high-quality work of the military medical commission, rehabilitation, economic, business, legal opportunities, and housing for veterans.
Zelenskyy stressed that everything in the policy of heroes should help people live.
"Any official who does not understand this must be replaced. Any regulation that delays time should be simplified. Everything in our country should become an assistant to a veteran, as it is today," the President said.
According to the leader of the country, all effective initiatives of the state, the public, business and veterans themselves, and all those aimed at improving the quality of the Ukrainian policy of heroes, at integration to help veterans, must be implemented.
"I am confident that there will be a result. There must be," Zelenskyy stated.
In addition, the President said that he expects the first result of the heroes' policy by 14 October.
In June, President Zelenskyy proposed that the future Ukrainian Doctrine include a heroes' policy that would address the needs of combatants and war veterans.
