Ukrainian media outlets Babel, Hromadske, and Radio Liberty reported this, citing sources.

They noted that the Russian forces were actively using this depot to redeploy equipment to Ukraine. After the strike by Ukrainian drones, four powerful fires were recorded there, and the ammunition was continuously detonating.

“Military airfields, ammunition depots, and infrastructure facilities that work for the war against Ukraine are legitimate targets,” Babel's sources said.

North Korean missiles were in the warehouse

The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalenko, wrote that there were North Korean missiles in a warehouse in the Voronezh region of Russia.

“An ammunition depot in Soldatskoye, Voronezh region, was struck. Korean missiles, which Putin actually begged for from Kim Jong-un, humiliating himself, were destroyed,” Kovalenko said in a statement.

Drone attack on the Voronezh region of Russia

Alexander Gusev, the governor of the Voronezh region, first reported the attack on the region.

According to him, last night in the Ostrogozhsky district, air defense forces and electronic warfare equipment detected and neutralized an unmanned aerial vehicle.

“According to preliminary data, there were no casualties. As a result of the drone's fall, a fire started and spread to explosive objects, which led to the detonation,” Gusev said.

He also added that he had decided to temporarily evacuate the residents of one of the villages to a neighboring settlement. Emergency services and representatives of the local administration are working at the scene.

Local media report that the fire at the warehouse has been going on for about two hours.

Later, the local governor said that a state of emergency had been declared in the Ostrogozhsky district.

“Emergency services are evacuating the residents of one settlement. Temporary accommodation centers have been set up for them, buses have been organized,” Gusev added.

The social media reports that the drone hit an ammunition depot, and it is detonating now.

  • Meanwhile, on the evening of September 6, Russia launched several groups of attack drones into Ukraine. On the night of September 7, air defense was operating in Kyiv region, debris was seen falling in the capital, and explosions were heard in several regions.
