Ukrainian forces battle Russian army in Vovchansk high-rise buildings

During the battles in the town, Ukrainian defenders are fighting with the Russian occupation forces not only for every street and house, but even inside high-rise buildings.

‘In the urban area of Vovchansk, they use the tactic of ‘infiltration’, that is, they make single movements between buildings, gather in a certain location in an assault group, and then try to capture and hold the building, waiting for reinforcements. Sometimes both their and our units are in the same building - some in the basement, some on the higher floors, trying to push out each other. There are many such tactical episodes,’ Sarantsev said.

One firefight has taken place in Vovchansk since the beginning of the day.
