Russian troops shell Kostiantynivka in Donetsk region, killing at least 3 locals
On the morning of September 7, Russian forces shelled Kostiantynivka with artillery, killing three men. At least three people were also wounded, a multi-storey building, an administrative building and power lines were damaged
This was reported by the head of Donetsk regional state administration Vadym Filashkin.
“Russians shelled the city with artillery, killing three men aged 24 to 69. Three people were lightly injured, they received the necessary medical care,” he wrote.
A multi-storey building, an administrative building, a shop, a pharmacy, 6 cars and 3 power lines were damaged.
Donetsk regional prosecutor's office has launched a pre-trial investigation into the criminal proceedings on the violation of the laws and customs of war (part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), the Prosecutor General's Office reports.
According to the investigation, the shelling took place between 9:15 and 10:00 a.m. Russian troops allegedly struck with barrel artillery hitting the center of the city with dense residential buildings.
As a result of the shelling, three men aged 24, 46 and 69 sustained life-threatening injuries near a local market.
Three other civilians - a 50-year-old woman and two men aged 29 and 59 - sustained injuries of varying severity. They were diagnosed with shrapnel wounds to their arms and legs. The injured are being provided with qualified medical aid.
13 buildings were damaged, including an apartment building, a medical facility, a pharmacy, a commercial building, vehicles, and power lines.

On Thursday, September 5, the Russian occupation army attacked Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region. One person was killed, and 8 others were injured as a result of the shelling.
