187 firefights registered in frontline over last day: Russia attacks in 12 directions

This is stated in the report of the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff as of 8:00 a.m. on September 7.

Over the past day, 187 combat clashes were recorded. The Russian army was most active in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions.

According to the updated information, yesterday Russia launched two missile attacks on the positions of Ukrainian units and localities using six missiles, as well as 74 air strikes, dropping 87 glide bombs. In addition, it carried out more than 4,200 attacks, including 129 from multiple launch rocket systems.

The Russian aggressor carried out air strikes in the areas of 6 settlements in Sumy region; 3 in Kharkiv region; 1 in Luhansk region; 7 in Donetsk region; 2 in Zaporizhzhia region; 6 in Kherson region.

On September 6, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted 15 strikes on the areas of Russian personnel and weapons concentration. Ukrainian army also hit a command post, two UAV control points, two artillery systems and one other important Russian object.

Situation in the sectors

Six battles took place in the Kharkiv direction. The Ukrainian defense forces repelled Russian assaults near Vovchansk and Lyptsi.

In the Kupyansk direction, 27 firefights took place, in particular, near Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Andriivka, Berestove and Stelmakhivka.

In the Lyman direction, according to the updated information, Russia attacked 17 times near 7 populated areas.

Five combat clashes occurred in the Siverskyi direction. Ukrainian troops repulsed Russian assault near Verkhnekamianske and Spirne.

In the Kramatorsk direction, there were eight battles in the areas of Hryhorivka, Chasiv Yar and Andriivka.

In the Toretsk direction, Russians attacked 10 times near Toretsk, Nelipivka and New York.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian troops rebuffed 49 hostile attacks in the area of 8 settlements. The highest concentration of attacks was near Novohrodivka, Hrodivka and Mykhailivka.

In the Kurakhove direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 46 attacks near Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka and Heorhiivka.

In the Vremivka direction, the occupation Russian forces attacked nine times in the direction of Vodiane and Staromayorske.

In the Orikhiv direction, Russian troops made one assault on the positions of Ukrainian units near Mala Tokmachka.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the Russian forces were defeated, attacking Ukrainian defensive lines nine times.

The situation in the Huliaipole sector remained unchanged.

No signs of Russian offensive groups were detected on the border with Belarus.

On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, Russia's army maintains a military presence, conducts mortar and artillery shelling of settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation.

At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers continue to inflict significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, depleting the Russian enemy along the entire frontline.

  • Over the past day, September 6, on the Russian-Ukrainian front, the occupation forces lost dozens of units of their equipment, as well as 1,270 soldiers.
