Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans announced this during a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group at Ramstein Air Base in Germany on September 6.

Brekelmans stated that F-16s need technical support and spare parts, so the Netherlands is sending €80 million worth of equipment. This includes spare parts, generators, small vehicles, maintenance tools, and ladders. The air-to-air missiles will help Ukraine target enemy aircraft.

The minister did not specify the exact number or types of items or the delivery schedule but assured that the aid would arrive as soon as possible.

  • On September 6, at the Ramstein meeting, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius committed to providing Ukraine with 12 howitzers valued at €150 million, along with Leopard tanks.
  • On September 6, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, speaking at Ramstein Air Base in Germany during the opening of the 24th Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting, announced a new $250 million aid package for Ukraine.
