Ukrainian politician Oleh Rybachuk said in an interview with Espreso that Ukraine will be granted permission for long-range strikes on Russian territory with Western weapons, but they will be delayed in time

Rybachuck shared his opinion on Espreso TV.

‘Most likely, we will be able to obtain permits for long-range strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation, and there are already many leaks about this. We simply understand well how such decisions are made, remembering the beginning - Javelins, tanks, aircraft, then missiles, long-range missiles. And we can predict quite confidently that these permits will be granted. I cannot say that they will completely solve our problem. However, judging by Russia's absolutely hysterical reaction, that if the West allows the use of long-range missiles on Russian territory, then that's it. The Russian Federation is panicking on their talk shows, which means that this is already a matter of concern for them,’ commented Oleh Rybachuk.

According to him, these permits will be delayed again. Kirby, the Strategic Communications Coordinator at the White House National Security Council, said that ATACMS doesn't play a big part anymore because the Russians have already moved their aircraft and air bases 300 kilometers away.

‘But in general, we need to pay attention to Biden's remark that the biggest task for him and his administration now is to make Kamala Harris the next President of the United States. When making certain decisions, they will definitely take into account how this will affect the election. And, realizing that Trump from time to time starts talking about America being dragged into World War III and intimidating ordinary Americans with this, it is obvious that the Biden administration will also take into account the factor of how Trump can use this to bring down Kamala Harris, who is really gaining momentum,’ the politician said.

Rybachuk added that there is also reliable information from Chisinau that Kamala Harris has gathered a powerful group of international policy experts who have a very principled position on Russia, Putin and authoritarian regimes, and this team is much stronger than Sullivan (US President Joe Biden's chief national security adviser - ed.) and his kind.

  • On September 3, it was reported that the United States was close to an agreement to provide Ukraine with longer-range missiles to strike deep into Russia. The decision could be announced this autumn.
  • On September 6, Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin said that the United States would not allow Ukraine to strike military targets deep inside Russia, as this would not mean a ‘turning point’.
