Zaluzhnyi on mobilization of 500,000 Ukrainians: Military command doesn’t request specific numbers
The Ukrainian military command did not submit a request to the government for a specific number of people to be mobilized into the Armed Forces
The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, said this during a telethon.
"The military command did not make any request for any figures," he said.
According to him, the military command continues to fulfill the function of protecting the state, and therefore makes requests for ammunition, weapons and human resources.
"We exercise our powers in accordance with the functionality we have been vested with. As for this figure: we have formed it, and accordingly formed it for the next year. It takes into account the coverage of the current manpower that has arisen, the formation of new military units and the forecasting of our losses that we may incur over the next year. I cannot disclose this figure and which figure refers to a particular section of these indicators, it is a military secret," said Zaluzhnyi.
