Has the US really recalled the era of Hoover and McCarthy
In less than ten days, the FBI has raided the homes of two Russian public figures
On August 8, the Bureau conducted measures at the home of Scott Ritter, an American former intelligence officer and current Kremlin propagandist. Today, searches are reported to be taking place at the residence of Dimitri Simes.
Dimitri Simes, by the way, is a well-known Soviet dissident who left the Union in 1973. He was an adviser to President Richard Nixon and is still the head of the institute founded by Nixon and the well-known publication The National Interest.
At the same time, Simes participates in broadcasts on Russian state TV channels and Kremlin events in Russia. This is another eloquent case to the conversation about “good Russians.”
So let's wish the FBI success and rejoice together if the Americans decide to return to the healthy traditions of Hoover and McCarthy.
