We prepare evidence of crimes of the Russian occupants in order our diplomats and politicians could claim to close the sky over Ukraine, - Illia Novikov

It has been stated by attorney Illia Novikov, according to press service of the European solidarity party.

"As we informed before, the working group engaged in collecting the evidence of war crimes by the Russian militaries has started its work", he noted. 

The attorney added that today General Prosecutor's Office claimed that they also started collecting proves of war crimes. "Obviously we have no competition in this field and we will definitely share all data with our colleagues from the Prosecutor's office," - assured Illia Novikov. 

He noted that they receive a numerous appeals from the Ukrainian citizens who evidenced or recorded the crimes. 

"As we promised, we will focus on assisting our diplomats, politicians in a short-term perspectives who try to overcome the no-closed-sky position of NATO," said Illia Novikov.

He explained that these proves and facts will add additional arguments.

"We intend to report daily and today we will have two cases in the report which could have been lost in view of the tragedies in Irpin. You know that the airport in Vinnytsia has been destroyed. We have evidence from the citizens and public sources in Zhytomyr region, Korosten and Ovruch, of two cases when after the missile attacks on a private sector by the Russians, over 30 private households in one case and over 10 private houses in another case were destroyed,"- he said.

"It's important, because in each case these attacks were not provoked by militaries - there were no operations or military units - nothing concerning the legitimate military aim. It has to be treated exclusively as an act of destruction, murder of peaceful citizens and terror of innocent people,"  - stressed the attorney.

He told that a report will be issued in Ukrainian and English and will be handed over directly to the responsible for closing the sky politicians and diplomats. 

"We expect from all citizens who evidenced war crimes to report to [email protected] especially on those proves that have not been uploaded into internet," he asked.

Victoria Siumar, an MP of the European Solidarity party noted that it's an important work and called on to document and record all evidence of crimes of the Russian troops. "They should go public for Ukraine and for the world", she added.
