Denmark gives major update on when first F-16s may arrive

Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen said that the country would be able to deliver the first F-16s to Ukraine in March-April 2024.

"We expect that in March-April we will be able to deliver the first batch of combat aircraft to Ukraine. But there is still a lot of work to be done so that Ukrainians can operate them," he said.

According to him, Ukraine should not only receive the fighters, but also be able to maintain them.

"My clear goal is that in the first quarter of 2024 we can send the first combat aircraft to Ukraine. But this depends on the training of the pilots, and not least the support staff who will have to maintain the aircraft," added Troels Lund Poulsen.
