Russian soldier kills commander amid claims of brutal conditions on Zaporizhzhia front
Russian forces resort to vigilante actions due to unbearable conditions on the Zaporizhzhia front — one soldier wounded a sergeant and shot his commander
The Atesh partisan movement reported the information.
According to soldiers in the invading Russian forces, the service conditions on the Zaporizhzhia front are intolerable — they are subjected to constant torture and intimidation, with their mobile phones being confiscated. Commanders demand bribes and in some cases simply seize the salary cards of rank-and-file soldiers.
One such incident occurred on January 14 in Russia's 64th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade near the settlement of Huliaipole, in the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region. A mechanic-driver used a 5.45mm Kalashnikov rifle to wound a sergeant and shoot the commander of his grenade launcher platoon section.
Currently, the military command is attempting to impose new restrictions on personal weapon control due to this incident.
- The Atesh partisan movement also conducted reconnaissance of the location of Russian boats in temporarily occupied Crimea. Russia plans to deploy them to the Kherson front.
