British actor Stephen Fry urges world to pay attention to Ukraine war
British actor and writer Stephen Fry recorded an appeal to the world, in which he reminded to analyze events and support Ukrainians
The video was posted on the UNITED24 Facebook page.
British comedian, writer, and TV presenter Stephen Fry has recorded a video message to the world. In it, the celebrity calls for compassion and understanding.
The video uses footage from Ukraine after the outbreak of a full-scale war.
“Every day, on top of everything what is going on in our own lives, we choose what else is worth our attention. Is someone else’s war worth paying attention to? What if their aggressor is also a danger to your country? Is that dictatorship worth paying attention to? What if their nuclear missiles could potentially reach your home? Should you go to a rally to demand government attention to a global issue? Or just take your child to the park to send some time together? Are you going to buy another toy for your own child or for the refugee’s child?” Fry asked.
He noted that anyone can find their own path to a mindful life and support for others.
“Instead of being a bystander of events, we can analyze them, learn, and become stronger. And after all, we can choose to be a better human,” the actor underscored.
