Croatia, Spain to give Ukraine EUR 6.5 million for humanitarian demining
Ukraine will receive EUR 6.5 million for humanitarian demining from the governments of Croatia and Spain
This is reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Economy.
The country's assistance was announced during the International Donor Conference on Humanitarian Demining in Ukraine, which took place in Croatia. The conference was attended by representatives of more than 40 foreign countries, including ministers of defense, foreign affairs, ambassadors and heads of foreign organizations.
"Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenković said that tomorrow the government of this country will approve the provision of assistance to Ukraine in humanitarian demining in the amount of 5 million euros. Also, the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs for European Union and Cooperation said that Spain will allocate 1.5 million euros to support humanitarian demining in Ukraine," said Yulia Svyrydenko, Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
She thanked the partners for their assistance and emphasized that humanitarian demining is one of the conditions for Ukraine's recovery and further economic growth.

On October 10, Ukrainian Economy Minister Yulia Svyrydenko and Croatian Prime Minister Croatia Andrej Plenković signed an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of demining. The agreement includes the transfer of technical expertise and special security equipment, as well as educational programs for civilians and capacity building.
