He said this at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
“There were 12,000 North Koreans, 4,000 of whom were killed. It was Putin's strategy to drag another country into this war,” the President of Ukraine said.
At the same time, Zelenskyy emphasized that the battle involving soldiers from the DPRK is now geographically closer to Davos than Pyongyang.
“Do not forget, there is no ocean separating European countries from Russia. And European leaders must remember this - battles involving North Korean soldiers are now taking place in places geographically closer to Davos than to Pyongyang,” he said.
- On January 20, Zelenskyy released a video of a captured North Korean soldier telling SBU investigators that he had not been trained to use Russian army equipment and did not know where he was going to fight.
