Zelenskyy shares footage of captured North Korean Soldier’s interrogation by SBU
The captured North Korean soldier told investigators from Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) that he had not been trained to operate Russian army equipment and was unaware of where he was being sent to fight
Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared a video of a new interrogation of the captured North Korean soldier.
"Intelligence data on the movement of such troops to Russian territory, their training and complete information isolation have been confirmed by the prisoners. All the facts about North Korea's involvement in this war will be established," he wrote.
During the conversation, the North Korean soldier revealed that he serves in a reconnaissance battalion. When asked whether he had undergone training to operate Russian weaponry and equipment, he replied that he personally had not. However, he noted that "there were a few North Korean soldiers who received training on operating heavy Russian equipment."
According to the captive, he and other soldiers traveled from North Korea to Russia, likely aboard a cargo ferry carrying more than 100 people. The soldier claimed he was unaware, prior to arriving in Russia, that he would be involved in combat there, nor did he know whom he would be fighting against.
