Russian forces have deployed up to 2,000 personnel for a massive offensive near Avdiivka
Vitaliy Barabash, head of the Avdiivka Military City Administration, said this during the telethon.
Ukrainian troops targeted more than 60 units of enemy equipment. According to Barabash, this has never happened in this area before.
"The situation remains very tense. Indeed, yesterday they went on the offensive en masse. Massive shelling of the positions around the city started at about 3 a.m. The industrial zone itself was also shelled from the north and south," the statement says.
Around 5:30 a.m - 6:00 a.m. terrorists started shelling Avdiivka. The Russians stormed with large forces yesterday, using dozens of armored vehicles. The military administration clarified that Russia sent up to 2,000 personnel to attack Avdiivka.

On October 11, the General Staff reported that over the past day, the Russian Federation intensified its offensive in the Avdiivka sector with up to three battalions supported by tanks and armored vehicles.
