Russia loses aircraft, 34 tanks and 820 soldiers in a day of war in Ukraine

Defense forces repelled all Russian attacks near Avdiivka and did not lose their positions

The Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff reports this.

The operational situation remains unchanged in the area of responsibility of the North operational-strategic group, near the border with Belarus.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, carries out active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to dangerous areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group in the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled more than 30 Russian attacks near the towns of Synkivka and Ivanivka in Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back Russia's offensive near Makiivka and Dibrova in the Luhansk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukraine's defenders repelled hostile attacks near Klishchiivka and Andriivka in Donetsk region. At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their assault operations south of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, having succeeded in the areas east of Klishchiivka and east of Andriivka.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group in the Avdiivka direction, the Russian forces, with up to three battalions supported by tanks and armored vehicles, intensified offensive actions in the areas of Avdiivka, Tonenke, Keramik and Pervomayske in Donetsk region. Ukrainian defenders repelled all attacks and prevented the loss of their borders and positions.

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repulsed over 10 Russian attacks in the areas of Marinka and Krasnohorivka in the Donetsk region yesterday.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, the invaders launched unsuccessful offensives near Zolota Nyva and Volodyne in the Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian defenders are holding back the Russian enemy in the area of Inzhenerne and Verbove in Zaporizhzhia region.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive in the Melitopol direction and have improved the tactical situation in the area west of Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region. Ukraine's soldiers are inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the Russian forces, depleting the Russian forces.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces are conducting counter-battery combat, destroying supply depots and successfully hitting Russia's rear.

Russian army launched 2 missile strikes and 76 air strikes on Ukrainian territory

Over the past day, 108 combat clashes took place on the frontline.

Russia launched an attack with an S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile at civilian buildings in the village of Velykyi Burluk, Kharkiv region. In addition, the invaders attacked the southern regions of Ukraine with Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs, most of which were destroyed by Ukraine's air defense.

In total, the Russian troops launched 2 missile strikes and 76 air strikes, fired 83 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population, including children. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Air strikes hit 1 settlement in Chernihiv region; 2 in Sumy region; 6 in Kharkiv region; 2 in Luhansk region; 8 in Donetsk region and 3 localities in Zaporizhzhia region.

Over 130 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions were subjected to artillery fire.

Defense Forces hit Russian command post and ammunition depot

Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 11 strikes on areas of personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration and 9 strikes on Russian anti-aircraft missile systems. Also, Ukraine's defenders destroyed a Russian Su-25 fighter jet and 7 reconnaissance UAVs of operational and tactical level.

Missile units hit a command post, an ammunition depot, 3 areas of personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration, 7 artillery units and a Russian electronic warfare station.

• The Institute of the Study of War said that the Russian occupation army intensified its offensive around Avdiivka in Donetsk region and in the western Zaporizhzhia region to draw the Ukrainian military away from Robotyne.
