According to Interfax and the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed his desire to work with Putin in 2025 to deepen relations between the countries and "defend international justice." Meanwhile, Putin stated that Russian-Chinese cooperation is "in the interests of both peoples."

According to Kremlin aide Ushakov, the Russian leader also told Xi Jinping about the "Ukrainian settlement".
