Ukrainian paratroopers share how they captured North Korean soldier
The soldiers of Ukraine's 95th Separate Airborne Assault Polissya Brigade shared the details of capturing a North Korean soldier in the Kursk region
This was reported on the Facebook page of the Airborne Forces Command. The defenders explained that on that day, the Russian army assault lasted from morning until evening. However, the Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled the attack with the help of drones.
"It seemed like everything had quieted down, but one drone operator reported over the radio that he saw a body moving. We were told to check who it was. We gathered, ran out, and were guided by drones. As we approached, we saw he had a Ukrainian Army scarf on his head and a green buff – we thought it was one of ours," said the paratrooper.
However, upon getting closer, the defenders realized it was a North Korean soldier. He was injured, with his jaw and arm bandaged. According to the soldiers, someone had likely provided him with medical assistance.
The paratroopers also shared that while escorting the captured North Korean for further transport, he suddenly charged headfirst into a pole and likely lost consciousness.
"The guys got out of the vehicle, secured him, and continued the transport. Our task was carried out professionally," the brigade added.
