Ukraine increases production of its own weapons and militarizes the economy

In order to reduce Ukraine's dependence on American support on the eve of the US presidential election, Ukraine is increasing its own production of all types of weapons and militarizing its economy.

Welt reports this with reference to the words of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

According to Kuleba, the US presidential election in 2024 will be important for Ukraine, so "we will have to wait and see."

"But we are preparing because we cannot afford to depend solely on American support. That is why we are now investing huge amounts of money in our own production of all types of weapons, significantly increasing production and militarizing our economy," Kuleba said.

Ukraine has a mass production of drones that can fly for 1,000 km

Ukroboronprom CEO Herman Smetanin said this in an interview with Economichna Pravda.

He confirmed the information that drones with a flight range of up to 1,000 kilometers are being manufactured in Ukraine, in particular, in cooperation with foreign partners. At the same time, Smetanin did not say where exactly the drones are being developed for security reasons.

"The main thing is that they fly and explode, and the Defense Forces order them. It's great!" emphasized the chairman.

According to Smetanin, the record range of UAVs manufactured by Ukroboronprom is currently 1,000 kilometers. He emphasized that Ukraine already has an analog of the Iranian Shaheds used by Russia to strike Ukraine.

Pre-trial restraint imposed on MP Dubinsky

This was reported by Suspilne.

The court partially granted the prosecutor's request in the case. Oleksandr Dubinsky was placed under round-the-clock house arrest with the wearing of an electronic bracelet.

The suspect will have to hand over his passport and other documents for traveling abroad to law enforcement, and refrain from communicating with people involved in the investigation. He will be allowed to leave only to go to the hospital and to a shelter during air raids.

On November 3, Dubinsky was served with a notice of suspicion. According to the investigation, the MP managed to illegally smuggle his common-law wife's brother to a neighboring European country. To carry out the fraud, the MP used a controlled NGO to enter "the right people" into the Shlyakh system, allegedly as volunteers.

France to supply large-scale batch of rifles and grenade launchers to Ukraine

The French company Cybergun will supply Ukraine with a large batch of rifles and grenade launchers, the company's press service reports. It is noted that Verney-Carron, a subsidiary of Cybergun, has signed an agreement with Ukrspetsexport to supply weapons to Ukraine worth EUR 36 million.

"This framework contract provides for the supply of 10,000 assault rifles, 2,000 sniper rifles and 400 grenade launchers by Verney-Carron," the statement says.

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in early 2024, and the first serial deliveries are planned in 6 months, subject to obtaining the necessary import and export permits between France and Ukraine in the field of arms.

Fico promises not to prevent arms sales to Ukraine

On November 6, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, despite his election promises, said that his government would not block the supply of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine from private manufacturers.

This was reported by Bloomberg.

Fico said that his election promise not to provide any military aid to Ukraine only applied to supplies from the Slovak army's stockpile. Thus, he softened a key campaign promise, explaining that his government would not block the supply of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine from private producers.

"If a company wants to produce and sell weapons abroad, we have nothing against it," Fico said.

Ukraine's State Emergency Service received 6 robots for demining from Canada

This is reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service (SES).

"The DIGITAL VANGUARD-S robotic systems have been handed over to the pyrotechnic units of the Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhia regions and the sappers of the Luhansk garrison, who are currently working in the Kherson region. As well as to the Mobile Rescue Center for Rapid Response, the Interregional Center for Rapid Response of the SES of Ukraine and the 2nd Special Center for Rapid Response of the SES," the statement says.

The State Emergency Service noted that the new equipment will help sappers to conduct remote reconnaissance and neutralize ammunition faster and with less risk to health and life.

The Drone Army has carried out a record number of strikes on Russian strongholds

"Last week, the enemy was not lucky with strongholds - UAV operators mined 335 positions, an absolute record. Also, 83 armored combat vehicles, 72 trucks, 36 tanks and hundreds of enemy soldiers were destroyed," said Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation

Ukraine's Special Forces 'hunt' for Wagner fighters in Sudan

The Kyiv Post published a video.

The video shows Ukrainian Special Forces allegedly chasing Wagner fighters through the streets of an African city and shooting them at close range with an RPG. A source who provided the material to the publication said that the videos were filmed "over the past two weeks" in a Sudanese city.

The first black-and-white video was shot at night by a drone in the infrared spectrum. A small unit of soldiers surrounds the building, and the targets in it are highlighted in the video.

Next, you can see several explosions in the footage taken with a regular camera. They alternate with footage taken with an infrared camera. In the video, the explosions brightly illuminate the night streets. Some of the men trapped in the building start shooting back, while others try to escape.

The second video was shot during the day, also from a drone hovering 200-400 meters above the ground. The Ukrainian Special Forces are not visible, but several men who look like targets are running through the streets of a densely populated city or village.

The Defense Forces' aviation launched 5 strikes on Russian concentration areas

During the day, the Defense Forces' aviation launched 5 strikes on the invading Russian troops' military positions. They also struck an enemy anti-aircraft missile system.

And the missile units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit 3 artillery units, a command center, and a manpower concentration area.
