Russian forces in Bakhmut are demoralized because of the destruction of their colonels.

The spokesman for the Eastern Military Grouping, Serhiy Cherevatyi, said that the destruction of Russian colonels had a demoralizing effect on the enemy army.

He said this on the air of the Espreso TV channel.

"The loss of colonels on the battlefield is an indicator of the catastrophic situation of the Russian army in the Bakhmut direction. Until recently, Prigozhin and his criminal group were the monopolists in Bakhmut. Prigozhin threatened to capture the entire Donetsk region. The huge losses in the Bakhmut area forced Prigozhin to engage regular Russian troops, airborne and motorized infantry units of the occupier. But they were not ready for combat," Cherevatyi emphasized.

In addition, the Ukrainian Defense Forces managed to cut off the main routes of ammunition supply to the Russian occupiers.

This was reported by Yuriy Fedorenko, commander of the Achilles company of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, on Espreso TV channel.

"In the extremely fierce fighting that is taking place at this moment, the Defense Forces managed to stabilize the situation in the city and in some places improve their position, that is, to drive the enemy out of their positions. And, most importantly, on the outskirts of the city, they managed to break through their defense, completely destroying the enemy's intentions, cutting off the main routes of communication and supply to the city itself with ammunition, manpower reserves, and everything necessary for defense," he said.

Ukrainian Armed Forces liberate 20 square kilometers of Bakhmut suburbs

Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar said that Ukrainian soldiers in the north and south of the suburbs of Bakhmut have already liberated about 20 square kilometers.

"Information on the course of hostilities should be considered in the context of all defense operations and not taken out of the context of events. For example, within a few days, our troops liberated about 20 square kilometers of the Bakhmut suburbs in the north and south from the enemy," Maliar wrote.

Bukovyna bans activities of religious organizations with ties to Russia

Deputies of the Chernivtsi Regional Council supported the decision to ban religious organizations with proven canonical ties to Russia in the region.

"By their decision, the deputies call on the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to urgently consider and adopt the law "On Ensuring the Strengthening of National Security in the Field of Freedom of Conscience and Activities of Religious Organizations" (draft No. 8221 of 23.112022) and to review the legality of the functioning of religious organizations (associations) that have a proven church-canonical connection with the aggressor country," the statement reads.

Sanctioned oligarch Fuks is served a notice of suspicion

The Security Service of Ukraine has exposed sanctioned oligarch Pavlo Fuks on large-scale financial fraud with strategic enterprises and systematic tax evasion, the SBU reports.

"Fuks and his accomplices carefully concealed the sources of funding for the transactions and real customers through complex financial fraud. For this purpose, they used more than 100 affiliated commercial entities. In the course of these frauds, the criminals received excessive profits and evaded taxes. For example, only one of these transactions resulted in almost UAH 100 million in losses to the state," the report says.

Based on the evidence collected, Fuks and two top managers of the holding were served a notice of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 27, Part 3 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (tax evasion, duties (mandatory payments).
