Ukrainian captain comments on attack on Tarasivka airfield in Kherson region
Captain Valerii Prozapas has commented on the information that the Armed Forces allegedly blew up the airfield in Tarasivka, a town on Dnipro’s left bank in the Kherson region
He said this on Espreso TV.
"Russian aviation is a very significant element of their defense. So, of course, when things like this happen, it is a sign that the Ukrainian army sees everything. This ‘long arm’ of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been working for a long time, starting with military operations in Crimea," he said.
According to him, the entire depth of the occupation army's defense is under fire from various weapons systems of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"In order for the invading army to bleed out, it needs to be hit more and more often. Accordingly, we need to get more supplies, more ammunition, and then we will be able to grind their battle lines," added Prozapas.
The Russian troops’ logistics lever in this area is very long. Every soldier, artillery system and airstrike is very expensive for them, the Ukrainian Armed Forces captain noted.
"In this 'war of resources' that started a few months ago, such elements are very important. We have to withstand it and our rear must be reliable. We need to work on this, because the entire civilized world must stand behind us," he summarized.
