Ukrainian army foiled Russia's strategic plans: General Malomuzh on key 2023 achievements

Mykola Malomuzh, Ukrainian Army General, and Chief of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine (2005-2010) told this on the Espreso TV channel.

"The enemy has not advanced in any of the active areas it planned to capture. It is not only about Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Russia planned to impose harsh conditions on Ukraine regarding the so-called truce and then formulate a new aggressive policy. According to the conclusions of Ukrainian military analysts, and their colleagues from the United States and Great Britain, since the beginning of the war, Ukraine has actually degraded 90% of the personnel of the Russian military units, Malomuzh noted.

"The Armed Forces of Ukraine have undermined an extremely powerful army. Talks that the Russians have forces that will perform effectively up to Kyiv have become a myth in 2023. Ukrainian troops have covered all sectors of the front and are holding strong positions, which is an extremely difficult model of action. In other areas, the Armed Forces are conducting powerful counterattacks, for example, in the Zaporizhzhia sector and near Bakhmut. We also managed to disrupt the enemy in specific sectors: Avdiivka, Svatove, Kreminna, Kupiansk, where he was planning offensive operations against Kharkiv," he added.
