Ukrainian Armed Forces defeat aggressor - Czech PM Fiala
Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala called the supply of T-72 tanks to Ukraine by the Czech Republic, financed by the United States and the Netherlands “cooperation that has obvious benefits for all participants”
Fiala wrote about this on Twitter after a visit to the Armory Excalibur plant, which modernizes the equipment intended for Ukraine.
"The most significant contract that Excalibur Army is working on in this area (modernization of military equipment - ed.) is the supply of modernized T-72 tanks to Ukraine, which is jointly funded by the United States and the Netherlands. This cooperation has obvious benefits for all participants. NATO strengthens the brave defenders of Ukraine, on whose success global security depends, and the Czech Republic strengthens the capabilities of its defense industry," Fiala wrote.
During his visit to the plant, the Czech Prime Minister also spoke on the phone with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"During my telephone conversation with President Zelenskyy today, we discussed further concrete cooperation between our countries and congratulated each other on the New Year. We both believe that it will be better than the last one. Mr. President thanked me for my support for Ukraine and for my support during the Czech presidency (in the EU - ed.)," Fiala wrote.
In addition, the Czech Prime Minister signed a tank for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which will be transferred to Ukraine.
"I wrote a short address to the brave Ukrainian defenders on the T-72 tank, which will go to Ukraine. I believe that Ukrainian Armed Forces will win in the fight against the Russian aggressor," Fiala concluded.
