Ukraine's story should be story of success - Klimkin
Diplomat, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (2014-2019) Pavlo Klimkin noted that the United States and the West consider Ukraine a fundamental part of the Western world
He expressed this opinion in the Verdict with Serhiy Rudenko program on Espreso TV channel
"Providing aircraft to Ukraine is the number one priority today. We are now discussing what long-range weapons will be provided to us – it could be cruise missiles, and aircraft are a symbolic step forward. The decision on aircraft means that everything is possible. It not only increases our military power, it is a powerful message to Putin that the West will stop at nothing," Klimkin said.
The diplomat also emphasized that Biden's phrase "Putin has already lost Ukraine" is a statement and fixation of the new political status quo in Ukraine.
"The United States and the West view Ukraine as a fundamental part of the West. This means that the history of Ukraine should be a success story. Biden's message is a message of friend or foe. The tone of the West has changed, and the West's fears of Putin are no longer the same as they were a few months ago. The West will not abandon the "thousand cuts" policy. This strategy will have cuts that are much deeper and much more painful," Klimkin added.
