Fire breaks out after Russian attack on Ukraine's Kharkiv: casualties reported

Around 08:30 a.m., Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported explosions in Kharkiv. The Ukrainian Air Force had warned about the activity of Russian tactical aviation in the northeastern direction.
It later became known that Russian troops had struck the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv, causing a fire as a result of the impact.
At 08:50 a.m., the mayor stated that at least 10 people had been injured due to the Russian strike. Civil infrastructure and vehicles were also damaged in the city.
"The impact occurred in the central part of the city, in a densely populated residential area. The strike hit courtyards surrounded by high-rise buildings. Agricultural structures and vehicles were on fire. All relevant services and volunteers are working on-site," said Terekhov.
According to the regional military administration, by 09:20 a.m., the number of injured in Kharkiv had risen to 15. Nine people were hospitalized. Rescue workers had localized the fire caused by the Russian attack.
Later, it was reported that 19 people were injured in the attack, including 13 women and 6 men aged 21 to 71. Among the victims, 16 are in moderate condition, while the remaining are in light condition. Thirteen individuals required hospitalization.
Preliminary data from city authorities indicate that the attack on central Kharkiv was carried out using an S-400 missile.
Additionally, initial estimates suggest that 41 buildings sustained varying degrees of damage.
