The press service of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence (DIU) reported the information.

According to reports, Russia received over 100 KN-23 and KN-24 missiles from North Korea. These weapons were first used by Russia in the war against Ukraine at the end of 2023.

Along with the missiles, Pyongyang also sent military specialists to Russia to service the launchers and actively participate in war crimes against Ukraine. According to the DIU, strikes using KN-23 and KN-24 missiles have repeatedly targeted Ukrainian civilians, affecting both frontline communities and settlements far from the front lines.

Ukrainian intelligence has found that the KN-23/KN-24 missile used by Russia against Ukraine contained foreign components manufactured by companies from five countries: China, the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.

At least one of them is a voltage converter labeled by the British manufacturer XP Power, manufactured in February 2023, after the start of the full-scale invasion.

“To obtain technologies for their weapons programs, the aggressor state Russia and its allies — the DPRK and Iran — use joint schemes to circumvent international sanctions, which requires an appropriate response, in particular, strengthening export control mechanisms,” the DIU emphasized.

Earlier, the intelligence service also published a list of components found in the KN-23/KN-24 missiles manufactured by 19 companies from seven countries: the United States, China, Japan, the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.

  • According to Ukraine’s intelligence, on November 21, Russia fired a Kedr ballistic missile with 36 submunitions at Dnipro city. Earlier, Ukraine assumed that Russia had used the RS-26 Rubezh intercontinental ballistic missile, while Russian leader Putin claimed that it had used the Oreshnik medium-range missile.
