Biden promises to provide support until Ukraine wins
US President Joe Biden assured that the United States will continue to help and stand with Ukraine for as long as necessary
This was reported on the Voice of America website with reference to Joe Biden's statement during a Congress speech.
"America is united in our support for your country. We will stand with you as long as it takes," he said.
Biden emphasized that the USA did "what it does best" – united NATO, guided the global coalition to help Ukraine, and continues to support our people.
He also added that the Russian war in Ukraine and the COVID-19 pandemic caused global inflation.
"Inflation has been a global problem because of the pandemic that disrupted supply chains and Putin's war that disrupted energy and food supply," Biden emphasized.
He noted that Putin's invasion of Ukraine is a test for America: they should pose and answer important questions.
"Would we stand for the most basic of principles? Would we stand for sovereignty? Would we stand for the right of people to live free from tyranny? Would we stand for the defense of democracy?...One year later, we know the answer. Yes, we would. And yes, we did," Biden said.
