217 clashes reported on Russian-Ukrainian front as Russia intensifies in Kurakhove sector

On November 24, 217 combat clashes were recorded on the Russian-Ukrainian front line. Russian troops focused their attacks primarily on the Kurakhove sector

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff stated this in its report as of 08:00 a.m.

According to the updated information, yesterday Russian forces launched a missile strike on Ukrainian positions and populated areas using four missiles, along with 67 airstrikes, in particular, dropped 85 guided bombs. Additionally, they fired over 4,200 times, including 121 times from multiple rocket launch systems, and used more than 1,500 ‘kamikaze’ drones.

Russian army conducted airstrikes, including in the areas of Hrynivka in the Chernihiv region; Hlukhiv, Svesa, Solianyky, Basivka, and Zhuravka in the Sumy region; Hraniv, Tykhe, and Bohuslavka in the Kharkiv region; Lyman and Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region; the city of Zaporizhzhia; and Novomykolaivka in the Kherson region.

Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck 12 areas of Russian manpower concentration.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv sector, six Russian attacks on the Ukrainian defenders’ positions took place near Kozacha Lopan, Tykhe, and Vovchansk.

In the Kupyansk sector, 14 Russian attacks were registered. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled assaults near Holubivka, Pishchane, Lozova, Kruhliakivka, Novoosynove, Kolisnykivka, and Vyshneve.

In the Lyman sector, Russia attacked 15 times near Novomlynsk, Kolisnykivka, Kruhliakivka, Sienkove, and Lozova.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces attacked four times near Chasiv Yar and Stupochky.

In the Toretsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled nine attacks near Dyliivka, Toretsk, and Shcherbynivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian Defence Forces stopped 55 Russian attacks near Myroliubivka, Krutyi Yar, Novotoretske, Lysivka, Krasnyi Yar, Mykolaivka, Sukhyi Yar, and Mykhailivka. The main efforts of the Russian offensive focused on Selydove and Promin.

In the Kurakhove sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 67 attacks. Russian troops were most active near Berestky, Sontsivka, Novodmytrivka, Zoria, Kurakhove, Dalnie, Romanivka, Yelyzavetivka, and Hanivka.

In the Vremivka sector, Russia conducted 14 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Trudove, Novosilka, and Makarivka, actively using aviation for strikes.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the invading Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions four times. They were fiercely repulsed and suffered losses.

The operation in the Kursk region is ongoing. Over the past day, Russia carried out 37 airstrikes (using 49 guided bombs) on Russian territory, while Ukrainian defenders repelled 25 Russian attacks.

On the border with Belarus, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.

On the border with the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the Russian army is actively using artillery and aviation from the territory of the Russian Federation in the vicinity of Ukrainian settlements.

  • The occupying Russian army lost 1,610 servicemen over the day of the war. Ukrainian Defense forces destroyed 6 Russian tanks, 22 artillery systems and 27 armored combat vehicles.
