Russian saboteurs try to breach northeastern Ukraine border in Kharkiv region
On the night of November 25, a small Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group tried to break through the border in the Kharkiv region near the settlement of Kozacha Lopan
Viacheslav Zadorenko, the head of the Derhachi City Military Administration, reported this.
Zadorenko said the group attempted to cross the Ukrainian border near the Hoptivka-Nekhoteevka checkpoint but was stopped by Ukrainian forces. Some of the saboteurs were killed, while others retreated back to Russia’s Belgorod region.
The head of the military administration explained that Russia frequently tests Ukrainian defenses by sending saboteurs. However, this only highlights the strength of Ukraine’s defenses and the coordinated efforts of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in dealing with the attackers.
Zadorenko also noted that there is no active Russian offensive in the Derhachi sector, and no significant number of Russian troops have been seen near the border.
