116 clashes occur at front on Nov. 25: Ukrainian forces repel 10 Russian attacks in Kursk region

Since the beginning of November 25, at least 116 combat engagements have taken place at the front. Ukrainian forces repelled 10 Russian attacks in the Kursk region

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this as of 4:00.

"Invading Russian forces continue to storm the positions of Ukrainian defenders. A total of 116 combat engagements have already taken place since the beginning of the day. Most of the fighting was recorded in the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk sectors," the statement says.

On November 25, Russian artillery and mortar fire in the Sumy region affected, in particular, the communities of Bilovody, Basivka, Novenke, Myropilske, Zhuravka, Rozhkovychi, Volfyne and Ulanove.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, the Russian army stormed the Ukrainian troops’ positions five times in the areas of Vovchansk, Kudiivka, and Kozacha Lopan. Three more firefights are ongoing. Russia also launched an airstrike with a guided bomb on Pytomnyk.

In the Kupyansk sector, Russian troops conducted offensive actions 13 times since the beginning of the day near Novomlynsk, Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, Kruhliakivka, and Zelenyi Hai. One combat engagement is ongoing. Russia is actively using aviation, dropping bombs near Velykyi Burlyk, Kupyansk, Kruhliakivka, and Bohuslavka.

In the Lyman sector, the Russian forces attacked four times near Hrekivka and Torske. One battle is still ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russia tried to advance three times in the area of Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk sector, the Russians tried four times to force Ukrainian units out of their positions in the areas of Toretsk and Dachne, with two battles currently underway.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the Russian army carried out 29 assault operations in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Hryhorivka, Petrivka, Dachanske, Pushkine, and Pustynka. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the Russian offensive and repelled 20 attacks, with nine more battles still underway.

In the Kurakhove sector, the invaders attacked 27 times near Sontsivka, Berestky, Kurakhove, Uspenivka, Yelyzavetivka, and Hannivka. 23 Russian attempts to advance have already been repelled. The fighting continues, with the hottest spots near Kurakhove. Enemy aircraft attacked Dachne.

In the Vremivka sector, the enemy made nine attempts to storm the positions of Ukrainian defenders near Rivne, Novodarivka, and Sukhi Yaly. Two firefights are ongoing, and Velyka Novosilka also came under enemy air strikes.

In the Orikhiv sector, the invading troops twice tried to storm Ukrainian positions near Novoandriivka.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Ukrainian troops repelled two enemy attacks. The Russian army launched a guided missile strike on Olhivka.

In the Kursk region, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled ten enemy attacks, eight more engagements are ongoing, and Russia launched four air strikes today, dropping six guided aerial bombs on Ukrainian territory.

There were no significant changes in other areas.

  • Invading Russian army lost 1,610 servicemen over a day of the war in Ukraine. Ukrainian Defense forces destroyed 6 Russian tanks, 22 artillery systems, and 27 armored combat vehicles.
