Ukraine’s parliament committee legalizes low-quality tourniquets causing deaths of injured soldiers – volunteer Korchynska
The Verkhovna Rada Defense Committee failed to inspect and officially test tourniquet in the army
This was reported by volunteer Oksana Korchynska on Espreso TV.
"Deputies from the Servant of the People party legalized all these Chinese tourniquets at the committee - about 100,000 of them were in the army. The deputies who were at the committee and abstained from voting - thanks to them, 250,000 of our soldiers, as deputies say, have products from unknown manufacturers in their first aid kits. Only one supported the Medical Forces Command, the rest abstained, and six others were for changes and the incompatibility of Commander Ostashchenko with the position," she said.
According to Korchynska, there is a threat to the lives of every fourth soldier at the front, and this was legalized by the Ukrainian parliament’s Defense Committee.
"MPs failed to conduct an inspection and official tests in a month. Although there was a check, which confirmed that these Chinese tourniquets do not hold pressure for two hours - a seriously wounded soldier with critical blood loss dies from such tourniquets," the volunteer summed up.
