Ukraine's Armed Forces have yet to de-occupy over two dozen Kharkiv region settlements - Synyehubov
Ukraine's Armed Forces are fighting for the liberation of 24 settlements in the Kharkiv region.
Oleh Synyehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported this during the telethon, Ukrinform reports.
“Our Armed Forces are actively fighting for the liberation of our territories. We still have an average of 24 settlements left under occupation. Why I say "on average" is because the situation is really changing at the front. However, our Armed Forces are doing everything possible to completely liberate the region as soon as possible,” Synyehubov said.
He emphasized that the occupying Russian forces are actively resisting and have no intention of retreating.
According to the official, at the moment the frontline has changed, so the work on strengthening the positions continues, but the enemy is also strengthening.
“Defense and fortification structures are being built. Let me remind you, we have a 315-kilometer border with the Russian Federation. The Russians are also fortifying themselves from their territory. Indeed, they are building fortified areas and concrete structures,” Synyehubov said.
