Ukraine's Air Force spokesman names best tools against Russian S-300 and S-400
Yuriy Ihnat, spokesperson of the AFU Air Force Command, believes the partners' help after the Ramstein meeting on January 20 will enable Ukraine to effectively resist Russian missile attacks. And in countering the S-300 and S-400 systems, the best option is their destruction
He said this on the air of the telethon.
“Obviously, there will be a powerful aid package after Ramstein. In particular, we are talking about the NASAMS, IRIS-T, and Patriot systems. And this is exactly what can shoot down ballistic missiles. But specifically with regard to the S-300 and S-400, the best "inoculation" is the destruction of the installations themselves,” he emphasized.
According to the spokesperson of Ukraine's Air Force, getting anti-aircraft installations 200 kilometers from the Ukrainian border is a very real task.
“It can be artillery, it can be operational-tactical complexes. And let's not forget that we have attack drones, which can also be used to thin out the enemy's anti-aircraft defenses a little,” Ihnat added.
