Political activist Yuriy Rashkin believes that Putin does not yet realize his defeat in the war with Ukraine

He expressed this opinion on the Espreso TV channel.

"It is very important for Ukraine to win the war with Russia before Putin realizes that he has lost. And the United States continues to stand by Ukraine. In his speech to the Congress, Biden also emphasized that Russia's war against Ukraine has become a test for the United States. This year, the United States has proven that it can and will fight for democratic values and the free world," Rashkin explained.

The politician pointed out that the West no longer responds to Putin's blackmail

"Putin has seen that the West no longer responds to his blackmail. He received a clear message about nuclear weapons. So he stopped threatening with these weapons. Instead, he threatens with thousands of mobilized soldiers," he added.

On February 9, US President Joe Biden said that Russian leader Vladimir Putin "has already lost Ukraine" and that assistance to Ukraine in its confrontation with Russia is open-ended.
