UCF has created an interactive "Map of cultural losses"
The Ukrainian Cultural Foundation launches an interactive "Map of cultural losses", which shows the extent of the destruction of Ukrainian cultural monuments by the invaders
This was stated in the UCF.
According to preliminary information, as a result of the full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, more than 150 various monuments and cultural objects were destroyed or damaged.
To visually demonstrate the extent of the destruction, the UCF is launching a "Map of cultural losses". The visualization of these war crimes refutes the statements of the leadership of the Russian Federation that the Russian army allegedly delivers pinpoint strikes exclusively on military infrastructure facilities.
"From now on, almost all the destruction that the Russian army inflicted on the cultural heritage of Ukraine can be reviewed in real time. Such a visualization of their crimes will once again prove that Russia is a deceitful terrorist country, which, contrary to any international rules of warfare and international conventions, destroys everything in its path. We also hope that this map will become a weighty argument in the course of discussions with partners about the exclusion of the Russian Federation from the ranks of various international cultural organizations or associations", said Vladyslav Berkovsky, Executive Director of the UCF.
Anyone can participate in filling the map. Photo and video evidence of the destruction of cultural monuments by Russians during the war against Ukraine can be sent through a special resource, and after confirmation of the information, they will be displayed on an interactive map.
