Fighter of the Territorial Defense of Kyiv Region Petro Kuzyk believes that Russian troops are purposefully shelling the cities of Ukraine, as they aim to destroy the Ukrainian people.

He expressed this opinion on the air of the Espresso.TV channel

"The shelling of Kyiv is not because the Russians have come closer to the capital, but because they are trying to sow panic. They have unleashed terror among the civilian population to intimidate peaceful Ukrainians. But I want to disappoint them. They were a little mistaken because they thought we have their mentality. Ukrainians could not be intimidated as easily as Russians. And these shellings of the civilian population and infrastructure are not part of the fury, but of the planned destruction of the Ukrainian nation," Kuzyk said.

Kuzyk added that an attack on Kyiv by the Russian invaders is currently impossible because they have not accumulated enough troops and equipment. According to him, the invaders from the left bank of Kyiv have concentrated their forces in the Kharkiv direction, and from the Zhytomyr direction, they have temporary tactical advantages.

"I want to note one more thing. Now that such a time has come, our rights, life, and health are not guaranteed by the Constitution and any international organization. We must fight for our right to live as the Ukrainian nation by killing the invaders. This is the bitter truth of life. However, in my opinion, this is our only way out and the better we do this work, the sooner it will be over. " Kuzyk added.

We will remind, in the morning on March 15 in the capital of Ukraine there were a number of explosions, the air alarm lasted for almost 3 hours.

Three people were killed and five were injured in shelling of a high-rise building in Kyiv's Sviatoshynskyi district
