There will be no place for Russian language in de-occupied Crimea – Mejlis Chairman Chubarov
In the liberated Crimea, the state language will dominate, and the indigenous language will develop alongside it, while the language of the aggressor country will have no place in the liberated peninsula
The chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Refat Chubarov, told about it on Espresso.
According to the official, Kyiv is developing a system of steps that will be implemented after the liberation of Crimea from the Russian occupation.
"The state language – Ukrainian – will rule. Next to it, the language of the indigenous people, Crimean Tatar, will develop, since it cannot be revived anywhere else, except on the land where it was formed," Chubarov said.
He also noted that Ukrainian schools, as well as educational institutions with the Crimean Tatar language of instruction, will be restored on the peninsula. At the same time, all graduates of such schools must also have a perfect command of the state language.
