The evacuation of people in Izyum was disrupted because of non-compliance with the terms by the Russian side, Synyehubov
The evacuation of civilians from Izyum, the Kharkiv region, was delayed because of the shelling Russia had not stopped.
The head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleg Synyehubov reported about this in Telegram.
“The buses are still waiting at the entrance to Izyum. Now we can not evacuate people because of the explosions heard on the outskirts. Despite the compliance of the Russian side the shelling is going on,” wrote Synyehubov at 1:30 pm.
The head of the Kharkiv region reported the negotiations mediated by Ukrainian Red Cross Society are taking place for the beginning of the evacuations.
“We hope today to evacuate residents and bring humanitarian supplies gathered in Kharkiv,” added Synyehubov.
As at 3:13 pm, there was no updated information from the head of the Kharkiv region.
As at 6:50 pm, the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleg Synyehubov reported the evacuation of people was disrupted because of non-compliance with the terms by the Russian side. The city was shelled during the day.
“Dozens of buses that set off in order to carry residents did not enter the city. Only 6 vehicles evacuated 250,000 people. The humanitarian convoy with food, water, warm clothes and other essentials did not enter the city as well,” reported the head.
According to Synyehubov there is no electricity, gas, heat and water. The mobile connection, the Internet and radio/TV do not work. More than 5,000 people need to be evacuated.
