Suspect in killing of Russian submarine commander pleads guilty
Serhiy Denysenko, a native of Sumy, who was detained in Russia on suspicion of killing the former commander of the Krasnodar submarine, has pleaded guilty and denied any ties to Ukraine's special services

A court in Krasnodar has arrested Serhiy Denysenko, who is suspected of killing the former commander of the submarine Krasnodar and deputy head of the department for mobilization work of the Krasnodar administration Stanislav Rzhitsky.
During the court hearing, Serhiy Denysenko stated that he did not cooperate and was not connected in any way with the Ukrainian special services.
RBC media adds that the man said that the motive for the crime was personal, and no one promised him a reward.
The Investigative Committee of Russia posted a video of Serhiy Denysenko being taken to the crime scene. One of the Telegram channels called the video "a strange frankness, almost a show”.

On July 10, Stanislav Rzhitsky, a former Russian submarine captain who worked as a mobilization officer, was shot dead while jogging in the southern Russian city of Krasnodar. He was allegedly involved in the deadly missile attack on Vinnytsia last year.

On July 11, a suspect in Rzhytsky's murder was detained - a native of Sumy, Serhiy Denysenko, who is the president of the Ukrainian Shotokan Karate-Do Federation and has lived and worked in Krasnodar Krai since early 2023.
