President Zelenskyy visits Ukrainian soldiers in Pokrovsk and Kupyansk
On Monday, November 18, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the positions of the Ukrainian military in the Pokrovsk and Kupyansk sectors
Zelensky announced his visit to Pokrovsk on social media.
In particular, Zelenskyy visited the location of the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade Sicheslav, which defends Pokrovsk. There, he spoke to the defenders and presented them with awards.
‘This is a tense and challenging direction. It is only thanks to the strength of our warriors that the east has not been completely occupied by Russia. The enemy is confronted every day,’ - the president stressed.
Zelenskyy visited the construction of defense structures
‘Donetsk region. Construction of fortifications and a meeting on life support in the region. Security is a priority,’ President Zelenskyy wrote.
According to him, he got acquainted with the progress of construction of defensive structures, most of which have already been completed.
‘I thank everyone involved in this important work,’ Zelensky added.
Visit to Kupyansk
‘Today - at the frontline. Now - Kupyansk. I have already been to Pokrovsk. I visited our brigades. I congratulated the boys and girls - our soldiers - on Sergeant's Day,’ Zelenskyy wrote.
The President also presented state awards to Ukrainian soldiers
In addition, Zelenskyy heard reports from commanders on the security situation and the social situation in Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.
In Kupyansk, the President also presented state awards to the best sergeants from the Starobilsk operational and tactical group.
‘I talked to the soldiers. It is always an honor. Thank you for your service, soldiers, for everything you do to protect our country,’ Zelenskyy wrote.
- On November 17, 149 combat engagements were recorded on the frontline between the two armies. Russian occupants are most actively attacking in the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk directions.
