Russian commander that likely launched Kalibr attack on Vinnytsia last year shot dead
In Russia, the ex-commander of the submarine Krasnodar Stanislav Rzhytskyi was shot – he was probably involved in the Kalibr attack on Vinnytsia last year
This is reported by the propaganda news agency TASS.
Stanislav Rzhytskyi held positions in the city department for mobilization work and served as a captain in command of the Krasnodar submarine.
A military officer was fatally shot while jogging in Krasnodar, as reported by Baza and Shot telegram channels. The shooter, as well as the reason behind the attack, are currently unknown.
According to the Myrotvorets website, Stanislav Rzhytskyi may have been involved in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. It is possible that the Krasnodar submarine, commanded by Rzhytskyi, was one of the boats responsible for shelling Vinnytsia on July 14, 2022, as suggested by NGL Media's investigation.
Ukrainian intelligence indicates that the Russian commander carried out missile strikes, including on Vinnytsia. However, it seems that he was eliminated by his own side for refusing to follow orders to launch missile attacks on peaceful Ukrainian cities, as it was deemed ineffective and posed a significant risk to civilians.
