British intelligence predicts continued high Russian losses in Ukraine in 2025
The Russian army is likely to continue suffering high losses throughout the year as it presses attacks on several fronts throughout the winter

In October 2024, the average daily losses of Russian troops (killed and wounded) in Ukraine reached a new high, with the loss rate amounting to 1,354 people per day.
“This is the second straight month that Russian Forces have suffered new war high average daily losses,” the statement said.
According to British intelligence, the average daily losses for the first 12 days of November 2024 amounted to 1,498 people, indicating that this trend is likely to continue.
October 2024 was the “most costly month” of the war for Russia, with the General Staff of Ukraine reporting Russian losses at 41,980, surpassing the previous peak of 39,110 recorded in May 2024.
Over the past month, Russia has intensified its offensive operations in an attempt to push back Ukrainian forces on several fronts, including Kursk, east of the Oskil River, Toretsk, Pokrovsk, and Vuhledar.
