Russia detains Ukraine-born suspect in murder of former submarine commander Rzhytskyi
A suspect in the murder of a former submarine commander has been detained in Russia. A native of Sumy, Serhiy Denysenko, is the president of the Ukrainian Shotokan Karate-Do Federation
This was reported by Russia’s Investigative Committee on Telegram.
"In the Krasnodar Krai, the Investigative Committee of Russia, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Federal Security Service of Russia, detained a man born in 1959, who is being suspected of the involvement in the murder of Stanislav Rzhytskyi, deputy head of the mobilisation department of the Krasnodar city administration," the statement said.
They later added the name of the detainee and a video:
"Serhiy Denysenko, born in 1959, was detained. During the detention, a pistol with a silencer was found with him, which was probably used to commit the murder."
RT propagandists clarified that the detainee on suspicion of murder is an Honoured Coach of Ukraine and Honoured Master of Sports in Karate-Do:
"64-year-old Serhiy Denysenko has the 7th dan of Shotokan Karate-Do. He is the president of the Ukrainian Shotokan Karate-Do Federation SKIF. The suspect in Rzhitskyi's murder was born in Sumy and probably lived in Bucha, Kyiv."
Friends of Serhiy Denysenko told the Cheka-OGPU Telegram channel that he was raised in an orphanage in Sumy. All his life he was engaged in karate, and his only connection with the military was his service in the army.
"He was a good fighter himself and trained children and teenagers. He lived on it. He was married three times, and he has children from each of his wives, whom he never forgot. The first family lived in Sumy, then he married his pupil. His ex-wife moved to Krasnodar, Russia. His daughter lives in Tuapse, where he was detained. He lived with a karateka in Odesa. Then he moved to Kyiv. When the war broke out, the association suspended its activities. Vice President Borys Klymenko went to Germany. And Serhiy left for Russia after the New Year," his friends say.
"He has never even held a gun. He doesn't know how to use it, he served either at the headquarters or as a telephone operator," recalls a friend from Denysenko's hometown.
Another friend also confirmed that Denysenko is not capable of murder.
