Storming of Kyiv is suicide for Russian invaders - Sazonov

He expressed this opinion on the air of Espresso.TV.

"The Russian army did not immediately plan to enter Kyiv. Because they are well aware that this would be a sentence for them. Therefore, they plan to besiege Kyiv.  But this did not work and will not work.  Putin wants to dictate terms to all of Europe. Ukraine understood this, and the United States began to understand it faster. Unfortunately, Europe is the last to understand this. Indeed, they wanted to encircle Kyiv. In Gostomel, the attempt to capture the airport also failed. He was captured, but he is no longer fit", Sazonov explained.

Sazonov also stressed that today the Russian invaders have very big problems with logistics. According to the political scientist, the fact that the Russian Federation invited help from China is also a sign of the exhaustion of the Russian army.

"Ukrainians are already joking that the 2nd World Army is asking for help from the 3rd World Army in order to take the city of Irpin. The Armed Forces of Ukraine began to correspond very powerfully to the occupiers. Now Putin's plans for Europe have already crumbled, and Ukraine is already a big question mark. I think that very soon Putin will look for reasons to sign a peace treaty", Sazonov added.
