Stopping Russia’s missile production is possible only by destroying military plants – expert
Military expert Oleh Katkov believes that the only way to stop the production of cruise missiles in the Russian Federation is to destroy the enterprises that manufacture them
He stated this on Espreso.
“In my view, it's not possible and it doesn’t make sense to keep track of how many missiles Russia has left. The last information about their missiles was from Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense in winter, and they mentioned the production of about 30-40 cruise missiles per month. There were also reports that Russia was increasing its missile production,” the expert noted.
The expert explained that the Russians use the newly produced rockets right away to attack Ukraine.
“They don't rely on sanctions because they assemble the missiles using civilian components, including Western electronics bought from Aliexpress. The serial numbers of the downed missiles indicate they were recently manufactured. These missiles are promptly taken to airfields and used for attacks on Ukraine. Stopping the production of cruise missiles in Russia seems difficult without destroying the manufacturing facilities,” he said.
